As a part of the ACCREU  research project, DTU together with the Firelogue project and other leading wildfire-related projects from all over Europe is organizing a joint clustering event on Wildfire Risk Management, which includes Adaptation Decision Types (ADTs). The clustering event is titled “Innovating with Wildfire Risk Management – A New Strategy for Europe” and will take place on site in Brussels on 20-21 May 2025, hosted by the Representation of the State of North Rhein-Westphalia.

The two-day event will gather experts, end-users and stakeholders, including members of the European Parliament, European Commission representatives and national policy experts and discuss how integrated risk strategies translates into different contexts across Europe, looking in particular at the integration of wildfire risk management priorities and adaptation decision types with respect to forestry and land management, rural and urban development, climate and energy policy objectives. The meeting will address the benefits and challenges of various wildfire risk management and climate adaptation options in Europe, including innovations with respect to governance.

The event received an overwhelming number of registrations but it is possible to sign up for the waiting list and review the program here.

ACCREU workshop series are organised according to the different ‘adaptation decision type’ (adaptation themes). These workshops will explore the scalability of adaptation strategies, as well as key barriers and opportunities.
