As a part of the ACCREU research project, Deltares/VU are organizing a hybrid Adaptation Decision Type workshop, on Flood Risk, Financial Stability, and Flood Insurance. The workshop will take place on 20 March from 14:00-16.00 (CET).
The workshop will introduce the ACCREU project and two of its case studies within the financial and private sectors, including participants from the Dutch Association of Insurers and the Dutch Central Bank. A framework for climate risk and financial stability will be introduced, followed by a discussion on potential transmission channels based on European case studies. The session will conclude with a discussion on the benefits and challenges of various financial climate adaptation options in Europe, including climate labels and insurance.

ACCREU workshop series are organised according to the different ‘adaptation decision type’ (adaptation themes). These workshops will explore the scalability of adaptation strategies, as well as key barriers and opportunities.
