The ACCREU (Assessing Climate Change Risk in EUrope) project invites you to a series of seven virtual workshops from March to June 2025, addressing key challenges and solutions for climate adaptation across various sectors. Topics covered are e.g. Agriculture & Forestry, Health, Supply Chains, Finance & Insurance, Water-Food-Biodiversity Nexus, and Coastal Flooding.
The workshops, organized around adaptation decision types (ADTs), focus on identifying enabling factors and barriers for adaptation activities and understanding why adaptation works (or doesn’t) at national, regional and local levels. A specific focus will be on discussing implementation barriers and opportunities for less conventional, more transformative adaptation strategies, which can potentially be instrumental in combating climate risks.
Participants will engage in interactive online sessions to co-produce insights and discuss first research insights from the ACCREU project.
The online workshops are designed for policymakers, civil society representatives, researchers, businesses, and industry leaders to foster collaboration and drive effective adaptation action.
Be part of this crucial conversation and help shape resilient European regions. To find out more about the workshop series and participation options, please visit our events page. The first three workshops are planned as follows:
